鑑別診斷 (Differential Diagnosis)
- 無黑色素的梭形細胞黑色素瘤 (amelanotic spindled cell melanoma) 在組織學上可能與其他皮膚梭形細胞腫瘤無法區分，包括 leiomyosarcoma、spindled cell squamous carcinoma、atypical fibroxanthoma，甚至 dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans。在此類病例中，使用適當的一組免疫組化試劑往往是必要的，包括對 S100 protein、SOX10、HMB-45 或 MART-1、pan-cytokeratin、AE1/AE3、smooth muscle actin (SMA) 及 CD34 的抗體。
- 同樣地，高度多形性、無黑色素的上皮樣黑色素瘤 (highly pleomorphic, amelanotic epithelioid melanoma) 有時必須與 anaplastic carcinoma 區分，偶爾也須與 anaplastic lymphoma 區分。為達成確定診斷，可能需要使用對 keratins、epithelial membrane antigen (EMA)、carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA)、leukocyte common antigen (LCA)、T 細胞與 B 細胞抗原 (T- and B-cell antigens) 及 CD30 的抗體。
