Sclerosing (desmoplastic) blue nevus
Sclerosing blue nevus represents an uncommon atrophic variant of common blue nevus. It is characterized by a paucicellular pigmented dendritic melanocytic and melanophage population embedded in dense and often hyalinized stroma. The entity shows considerable overlap with, and is probably identical to, hypopigmented blue nevus (see below).
