Focal acantholytic dyskeratosis
Focal acantholytic dyskeratosis
Clinical features By definition, this is an incidental histologic feature without a clinical correlate.
Differential diagnosis In acantholytic seborrheic keratosis, the acantholysis is typically focal and the lesion elsewhere shows the typical features of horn cysts and squamous eddies.12 Darier disease, acantholytic dermatosis of the genitocrural area, warty dyskeratoma and pemphigus, Hailey-Hailey disease, and Grover disease may show similar histologic features but are easily distinguished clinically. Acantholytic actinic keratosis also shows dysplasia in addition to acantholysis.
